Venbridge has appointed Bryan Watson as Senior Vice President of Business Development to build on the leading provider’s Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) financing and other non-dilutive financing products.
“The demand for alternative financing in Canada is accelerating, particularly with the recent slowdown in venture capital investment,” said Garron Helman, CEO of Venbridge. “Bryan has been a fixture in the Angel, Venture Capital, SR&ED and cleantech spaces for many years and will leverage Venbridge’s ability to get more growth capital into the hands of Canadian innovators.”
Bryan has more than 18 years of experience helping Canadian SMEs access the capital they need to grow, most recently as a Partner at Flow Ventures, a tax credit advisory firm specializing in the documentation and preparation of SR&ED tax credits. Bryan is also the Managing Director of CleanTech North and a Founding Board Director at the Ontario Clean Technology Industry Association. He has served as a Director on several boards, including as Executive Director of the National Angel Capital Organization, and as an advisor to and reviewer for funding programs at all levels of government. The Canadian cleantech sector recently recognized Bryan for his notable work in the sector with a 2021 Clean50 Award.
